Recipe: Apple infused water with cinnamon sticks

Infused water in recent times have grown to be a favourite for instant body detox. This fool proof recipe of an infused water with apple slices and cinnamon sticks is easy to make and will do wonders for your body!

Ingredients
FOR INFUSED WATER
- 1 Red Apples (thinly sliced )
- 1 inch Cinnamon Stick (stick)
- 1 ltr Water
FOR GARNISH
- 2-3 Red Apples (slices )
- 1 inch Cinnamon Stick
Instructions
CHOOSE FRESH & ORGANICÂ Â
- Fruits are generally waxed or sprayed with chemicals   Â
- We would use the whole fruit for the infusion Â
- Hence, always invest in high quality, organic and ripe fruits
CLEAN WELL BEFORE USEÂ Â
- Check for any bruise or mold on the apple, cut them off. Remove the stalk as well.
- Clean the red apple under tap water, turning as necessary to clean all the sideÂ
- Then in a container filled with enough water, mix 1 tbsp of lemon juice & 1 tbsp of baking soda
- Dip each apples and brush the skin using a vegetable brush gently to remove any wax
- Wash off the apples again under running tap water and dry it with a damp cloth
PREP THE RED APPLES
- Cut the apples into wedges and thinly slice them
- Thin apple slices  provide the most surface area for juices and flavor to seep out into the water
MAKE THE FRUIT INFUSIONÂ Â
- In a large glass pitcher, place the thinly cut apple slices and drop in 1-inch cinnamon stick Â
- Pour one-liter water in the glass jug
- Refrigerate the infused water for min 30 minutes (atleast), before consuming Â
- If you don’t like having your water chilled, then leave the jug at room temperature Â
- If using infused water bottle, the water will infuse quickly. Add some ice cubes and enjoy. Keep refilling them through the day Â
